JUST IN:On Holy Saturday, Israeli forces blocked Palestinian Christians from accessing the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Police imposed stricter restrictions, barring locals from entering while allowing foreigners in.
Worshippers were forced into narrow alleyways as officers occupied the church courtyard, which remained largely empty. Religious sects were also prevented from reaching St. Jacob Church to begin their rituals.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned a dangerous actions of Israeli authorities , after they barred the Vatican’s ambassador to the State of Palestine from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem to take part in Holy Saturday celebrations.
The ministry urged the international community, along with Christian and Islamic institutions, to end their silence and take serious action to safeguard Jerusalem and its holy sites, emphasizing that these sites are an inseparable part of the Palestinian state and its eternal capital.
