Nothing personal man, but your comment is a perfect example of why our society is so fucked up.
Stop thinking like yourself for a moment. This is what way too many people are doing, and it puts us in the shitstorm of a society we're in today. Instead, try and think like others do, the people IN these situations; it's called empathy, try and have some.
Some posts I've read in the last few weeks:
A 13-year-old boy is molested and raped by his attractive teacher and men all cheer and wish they were in that position, but if you read the story, the kid attempted suicide because he was so upset over the incident. He's not a horny man, he's a 13-year-old innocent kid who's just had something very weird happen to him. It can break a young person.
A post of a video where people cheered and laughed in the comments at a soldier fleeing for his life. He was crying, waving his hands above his head and praying not to die in a wet ditch as a drone dropped grenades on him. People were mocking him as he crawled with a leg blown half off, injured just trying to survive. Instead of cheering for his death, understand he likely doesn't want to even be there, and realizes his life is now at an end fighting for a country that sacrificed him for the 'greater good', perhaps against his will. He'll not see his family, his loved ones, his friends or even see tomorrow and he knew it. He was a dead man, but he's still a human life for fuck's sake.
And in this latest post people commented on that I'm going soft or 'blue pilled':
Think of the young man that might have an opportunity to kiss a girl he likes but is unaware of the signals, and he might love to date her only to realize later he screwed up. Weren't you ever interested in a girl or liked someone only to later realize maybe you lost an opportunity to have something special with someone? He's a young nerdy college kid who might have liked her, not some divorced pissed off guy who's mad at women, an ex-wife or the dating world.
There are THOUSANDS of examples of situations like this, and every day people have zero empathy for their fellow citizens and its what's fucking up society. People are selfish, short sighted and only do what's best for them, because fuck everyone else right?
The moment you can stop thinking like you do personally and start thinking about how others might be or feel in a situation, the more you can then understand the world, be better person, and be more supportive of others you might disagree with. Humanity and society requires this if we're to survive.
Find some empathy, compassion and love for your fellow man. Things suck enough already; we don't have to go beating up others because they're different than what your experiences are. Don't let internet hate dull you to where you're bitter and resentful towards everything.
And as always, thank you for attending my Ted-Talk
