Looking at Yemen’s successful ballistic missile hit on Jaffa, Hezbollah is no longer as significant as before. Iran and Yemen can both get through Israel’s defense systems. Before only adjacent territories could reach Israel. The new age of war is all about missiles and drones vs Electronic Warfare and missile defense. Navies blockade trade. Israel can’t hit back effectively. US and UK cannot invade Iran short of a false flag. A war of attrition in Syria could not be sustained economically. It took two decades for Israel to block the land corridor. But in those 20 years tech changed and warfare changed. HTS taking over Syria is a lost, it is a lost to humanity and morally for anyone to lose their sovereignty. But it does not change the strategic depth it would have done had Syria fallen even 6 years ago. By the time Netanyahu and his neocons accomplished their goal, the vital advantage of having weapons within range of Israel from Lebanon has changed. If a single missile from Yemen can be fired and it passes through all the air defense systems in the heart of Israel without any drones or methods for overloading the system, then it is simply just too fast to stop. This leaves Israel naked against a barrage of hyper-sonic missiles that cannot be blocked, should Iran and Yemen choose to do so.
The issue will be can Iran acquire enough air defense to deal with the US and the UK?
