It’s been amusing to watch the absolutely HYSTERICAL reaction of the pro-NATO, pro-war establishment to our letter in the Financial Times yesterday in support of peace negotiations. It says a lot about the fascistic, totalitarian mindset of that camp: even though they can count on the full support of the Western mainstream media establishment, and of virtually every Western government, the tiniest crack in the pro-war narrative is enough to send them into an apoplectic frenzy. That’s probably because they know that their entire narrative is based on lies, lies and more lies: it’s such a shaky construct — which many Western citizens are already rejecting, despite the relentless propaganda — that even the tiniest wrinkle could make the whole house of cards come crashing down. In this sense, in no small part thanks to the pro-NATO foot soldiers that made this letter go viral — almost one million views of my post — we achieved what we had set out to do: to start a conversation about this absurd conflict that has already caused immense destruction — and which, as we speak, is rapidly escalating into an all-out NATO-Russia war that threatens the very survival of humanity itself.
