Het is duidelijk dat het bizarre Oekraïense offensief in de Koersk regio, waarvan het nog steeds niet duidelijk is wat het doel moet zijn, de laatste slagkracht voor Oekraïne heeft weggenomen. Terugtrekken is de enige optie. Met grote stappen komt zo de doorslaggevende slag om Pokrovsk meer in zicht.
