BREAKING: BEN GURION AIRPORT AND HAIFA PORT SHUT DOWN - MAJOR PARALYSIS IN ISRAEL TODAY.The first general strike began with the aim of pressuring for a prisoner exchange deal, with the support and participation of the Israeli labor federation, the Histadrut.
The strike was initially scheduled for only a few hours during the day, but there are now new discussions to extend it until tomorrow, with the addition of new sectors, and it is subject to further renewal depending on the developments of the political discussions and negotiations.
Work was expected to resume at 10am, but was postponed until the evening with the possibility of extending until tomorrow.

Also several intersections across the country have been closed, demanding a prisoner exchange deal.
