Most of those born and killed in Gaza these days have never watched a film in a cinema. They have only known makeshift amusement parks and have never set foot in an airport. There are no large stadiums, no ships, no concerts, and no theaters that open their doors to them. No river to walk along, no mountain to climb and see the world from above. No restaurants like the ones that line your streets, no sprawling parks, no science centers, and no grand playgrounds.
Life in Gaza is shaped by what we glimpse through the internet, and for many, the only thing they truly own is their home.
Israel did not just destroy a pile of stones, as some claim. It bombed our only sanctuary and turned our dreams into rubble.
