️BREAKING: Press statement issued by Hamas regarding Netanyahu’s Attempts to undermine the ceasefire agreement in Gaza:
The recent statement from the office of the terrorist occupation Prime Minister, Netanyahu, regarding his adoption of U.S. proposals to extend the first phase of the agreement with arrangements that violate the Gaza ceasefire, is a blatant attempt to evade the agreement and avoid entering into negotiations for its second phase.
Netanyahu’s decision to halt humanitarian aid is a cheap form of blackmail, a war crime, and a blatant violation of the agreement. It is imperative for mediators and the international community to pressure the occupation to stop its punitive and unethical actions against over two million people in Gaza.
The war criminal Netanyahu is trying to impose political realities on the ground that his fascist army failed to establish over 15 months of brutal genocide, thwarted by the steadfastness and courage of our people and their resistance. His actions serve narrow internal political interests at the expense of the occupation’s prisoners in Gaza and their lives.
The occupation’s allegations that the movement violated the ceasefire agreement are baseless and misleading, intended to cover up its daily and systematic violations. These violations have resulted in over 100 martyrs in Gaza, disrupted humanitarian protocols, prevented the entry of shelter and relief supplies, and deepened Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophe.
Netanyahu’s behavior clearly violates Article 14 of the agreement, which states that all measures from the first phase continue into the second phase and that guarantors will do their utmost to ensure negotiations continue until an agreement on the second phase is reached.
We call on the U.S. administration to cease its bias and alignment with Netanyahu’s fascist war plans, which target our people and their existence on their land. All projects and plans that bypass our people, their fixed rights on their land, their right to self-determination, and their liberation from occupation are destined to fail.
We reaffirm our commitment to the full implementation of the agreement in all its three phases. We have repeatedly declared our readiness to begin negotiations for the second phase of the agreement.
We urge mediators to pressure the occupation to fulfill its obligations under the agreement, including implementing the humanitarian protocol and allowing the entry of shelter and rescue equipment into Gaza.
The war criminal Netanyahu and his extremist government bear full responsibility for obstructing the agreement and any reckless actions they may take to overturn it, including the humanitarian implications for the occupation’s prisoners in Gaza.
The only path to recovering the occupation’s prisoners is to adhere to the agreement, immediately enter negotiations for the second phase, and ensure the occupation meets its commitments.
