The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas, affirms that the zionist occupation’s decision to cut off electricity to Gaza is a continuation of its policy of collective punishment against our people in the Strip. This policy began on the first day of its aggression against Gaza on October 7, 2023, when it completely cut off electricity, having already deprived the population of food, medicine, and water in a desperate attempt to pressure our people and resistance through unacceptable and cheap blackmail.

The occupation’s insistence on cutting electricity, closing crossings, halting aid, relief, and fuel, and starving our people is a blatant continuation of collective punishment and constitutes a full-fledged war crime.

The occupation’s actions represent a flagrant violation of signed agreements and a breach of all human laws and norms, reaffirming that the occupation does not respect its commitments.

Netanyahu seeks to obstruct the agreement witnessed by the world, attempting to impose a new roadmap that serves his personal interests at the expense of the lives of the occupation’s captives, without regard for the demands of their families.

We warn the occupation against continuing these crimes and affirm that the Palestinian people and their resistance will not succumb to this pressure. They will persist in their steadfastness until freedom and victory are achieved.

The only way forward is to adhere to the implementation of the agreement’s terms and to proceed with the second phase of negotiations. Any attempt at stalling is a waste of time and a manipulation of the fate of the captives.

According to security and political sources, Smotrich often arrived at certain cabinet meetings with prior knowledge of the IDF’s operational plans in the Gaza Strip, particularly regarding the Southern Command. “We saw Smotrich sometimes come to cabinet meetings with printed presentations from the military, presenting information that had not been disclosed in the cabinet,” said sources involved in the cabinet’s work.

Security officials suspect that Smotrich was in contact with a reserve officer holding the rank of brigadier general. According to military sources, this is Eran Wiener. Wiener serves in the reserves as the commander of the operational planning team in the Southern Command. He previously served as an aide to former IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

We affirm our full commitment to the ceasefire agreement, our readiness to implement what was agreed upon, and our willingness to immediately commence negotiations for the second phase.

The occupation continues to renege on the agreement, refusing to initiate the second phase, which exposes its intent to evade and stall.

Netanyahu is obstructing the implementation of the agreement for purely personal and political reasons. The release of prisoners and the feelings of their families are the least of his concerns.

The agreement was brokered by mediators and witnessed by the world, which necessitates holding the occupation accountable for implementing it, as it is the only viable path to securing the prisoners’ release.

We reject attempts to pressure Hamas while the occupation remains unaccountable despite its failure to meet its commitments.

The language of blackmail and threats of war will not succeed. There is no alternative to negotiations and adherence to the agreement. Anything else is a manipulation of the prisoners’ fate.

The occupation’s ongoing stalling and deceit will not provide it with cover to evade its commitments. Instead, it will increase its isolation and expose the falseness of its narrative to the world.
