THE 1948 PALESTINE WAR - ISRAEL WARS
The 1948 Palestine War, also known as the Arab-Israeli War, was a conflict that took place in the former British Mandate of Palestine.
In this we are going to focus on the lead-up, the war, and the wars since.
It began on May 14, 1948, the day after the declaration of the State of Israel, and ended in 1949. The war was fought between the newly established Jewish state and a coalition of Arab states, including Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Syria.
- Lead Up -
The Balfour Declaration, drafted by the Rothschild banking family under Lionel Rothschild, was an agreement created on the condition, that if they were able to assist in getting the US to join WW1 on the side of Britain, that they would hand over the protectorate of Palestine to the Zionist Federation.
The Balfour Declaration was signed in 1917 forming the basis for the creation of Israel.
Following WW2 and other wars throughout nearby regions, mass Jewish immigration into Palestine due to the establishment of Mandatory Palestine would slowly shift the demographic in the region creating the perfect conditions for a conflict with growing tensions between the Arabic and Jewish people. In 1936, The Arab Revolt would break out demanding independence, in which Britain would end up fighting and defeating.
- The War -
The conflict between the Arab and Jewish populations in the region, was made worse by the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine in 1947. The plan proposed the division of the territory into an Arab state and a Jewish state. While the Jewish leadership accepted the plan as they had essentially held land at the time and would benefit, the Arab leaders rejected it, leading to the outbreak of the conflict.
During the war, the Arab armies initially made some advances, but the Israeli forces managed to turn the tide and gain territory. By the time the war ended, Israel had expanded its territory beyond the borders proposed by the Partition Plan.
On the Israeli side, the main sources of funding were the Jewish Agency and the American Jewish community. The Jewish Agency, led by David Ben-Gurion, played a crucial role in the establishment of the State of Israel and was responsible for raising funds and organizing the Jewish resistance during the war. The American Jewish community also contributed significantly to the war effort, providing financial support and resources to the Jewish forces.
In addition to these sources, both sides received support from other countries. For example, the Soviet Union provided arms and military equipment to the Israeli forces, while the United Kingdom provided support to Jordan.
- Post War -
Since the war was paused, the oppositional Arab nations to Israel during the war, would have their own conflicts break out aside from Israel.

These are just a small fraction of the total conflicts that arose in the area since the beginning of the war in Israel. This has lead many to criticize the possible disclosed and undisclosed proxy operations of Israel and their allies in the region including very possibly with ISIS in order to destabilize oppositional states.
- Conclusion -
The war resulted in significant demographic changes, with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced or dead and the creation of a large Jewish population in the newly established State of Israel. The war also had a lasting impact on the region, setting the stage for future conflicts between Israel and its Arab neighbors.
In my opinion there isn't any possible way that Israel could have won the conflict with the Arab nations without very significant outside help, funding, and weapons. The primary supplier of much of this since the formation of Israel has been the US (over $150 billion in aid since 1948), Germany, the UK, France, and Canada.
Since the 1948 war, tragedy has been continuously enacted on the Palestinian people and it is time for it to come to an end.
