The enemy's Knesset passage this evening of a resolution paving the way for the closure of Al Jazeera's office, and the terrorist Netanyahu's confirmation of his intent to move forward with shutting down the channel, after its leading role and professional coverage of the details of the genocide war waged by the terrorist occupation against our Palestinian people clearly reveals the true face of this fascist occupation, which desperately seeks to obscure the truth of its heinous crimes, that shame humanity, and which the whole world has witnessed through the screens of Al-Jazeera and free media.
This retaliatory decision is the culmination of campaigns of tightening, siege, and terror imposed by the fascist occupation on journalists and journalistic work, for its crimes and violations against them, and its attempt to deter them from performing their humanitarian and professional mission, until so far one 138 journalists have become martyrs during this brutal war, in addition to the hundreds injured, and at the forefront of these victims are the journalists of Al-Jazeera and those working with it.
We demand international legal and journalistic institutions to condemn the zionist intentions towards Al-Jazeera, and to expose the barbaric behavior of the occupation towards journalists, and to work on intensifying media coverage from the Gaza Strip, and broadcasting the truth of zionist crimes to the world. We also demand the international community to seriously work to force the zionist occupation to stop its crimes and its deliberate targeting of journalists, and to stop the blatant violation of international law against them.
