️BREAKING: Press Statement No. (763) by the Government Media Office
List of targeted foreign aid workers attached: The Israeli occupation army bombs a UN facility in central Gaza, killing one foreign staff member and seriously injuring five others.
The Government Media Office strongly condemns the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation army, which directly targeted a facility belonging to the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in central Gaza. This attack resulted in the death of one foreign aid worker and critical injuries to five others.
This crime is part of a series of Israeli violations against humanitarian teams, aiming to obstruct relief efforts and prevent international organizations from carrying out their humanitarian missions in Gaza, which is already facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

Foreign aid workers targeted in this attack:

Marin Marinov – Killed

Joel Fournet – Critically Injured

Alexander Papan – Critically Injured

Berthon Nicklaus – Severely Injured

Arnold Neil – Severely Injured

David Petron – Severely Injured

In response to this heinous crime, we emphasize the following:

Israel bears full responsibility for targeting humanitarian workers. This attack is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, which protect aid and relief workers.

We condemn the international silence and failure to protect relief workers. The lack of action to hold Israel accountable for such crimes only encourages it to continue its violations against UN and humanitarian institutions in Gaza.

This crime is part of Israel’s systematic targeting of humanitarian work, as it continues to block aid entry, bomb relief offices and warehouses, and enforce a starvation policy against the Palestinian people.

We call on the United Nations to take a firm stance against this crime and to take immediate action to hold Israel accountable for its targeting of humanitarian workers under its mandate. We also call for the formation of an independent international commission to investigate Israel’s ongoing crimes against humanitarian workers.
The continued targeting of aid workers by the occupation is a direct challenge to the international community and a test of its commitment to upholding international law. We urge all international human rights organizations to take immediate action to hold Israel accountable for this crime and its ongoing violations in Gaza.
