⚡️BREAKING: Hamas will not appoint a replacement for the head of government in order to allow for the Community Support Committee to take over the administration of the Gaza Strip's affairs.

A leadership source in Hamas to Al-Araby TV:

The [Hamas] movement decided after the assassination of [Issam] Al-Da'alis not to appoint a replacement for him in the chairmanship of the government follow-up committee [effective head of government].

The decision not to appoint a replacement for Al-Da'alis paves the way for the Community Support Committee to take over the administration of the Gaza Strip's affairs.

Governmental affairs are now being managed to follow up on basic services only, in order to prevent a vacuum in light of the war.

We called for accelerating the Community Support Committee's assumption of its work in accordance with what was agreed upon.

Note: The Community Support Committee's formation came out of joint Hamas-Fatah meetings in Cairo as was endorsed by Arab countries. It will be comprised of 10-15 Gazan professionals across fields and coordinate with the PA government in the West Bank and local organizations. Mahmoud Abbas delayed the presidential decree finalizing its formation months ago.

Israeli forces have executed 16 members of Civil Defense and Red Crescent teams in Tel Al-Sultan, Rafah, southern Gaza, following prior coordination with the International Red Cross.

The teams had been missing for four days. Their bodies were found buried near a military barracks, and all their ambulances and firefighting vehicles were deliberately destroyed.

Red Crescent victims:
Ezz Al-Din Shaath, Mustafa Khafaja, Saleh Ma’mar, Mohammed Bahloul, Ashraf Abu Labda, Mohammed Al-Hayla, Rifat Radwan, Asaad Al-Nasasra, Raed Al-Sharif

Civil Defense victims:
Fouad Al-Jamal, Youssef Khalifa, Anwar Al-Attar, Zuhair Al-Farra, Sameer Al-Bahabsa, Ibrahim Al-Maghari

The body of Civil Defense head Anwar Al-Attar was recovered and transferred to Nasser Hospital. Search efforts for the remaining missing continue.

——
Civil Defense:

- The Israeli army killed Palestinian Red Crescent and Civil Defense crews in cold blood during a humanitarian mission a few days ago northwest of Rafah.
- The Israeli army buried the bodies of the martyrs at the site of the attack, making it difficult to locate them.
- The scenes at the scene were horrific and confirm the deliberate targeting of ambulance and civil defense crews by the Israeli army.
- The Israeli army destroyed five Palestinian Red Crescent and Civil Defense vehicles and buried some of them after targeting them.
- What happened to the Palestinian Red Crescent and Civil Defense crews was a massacre that amounts to a war crime.

Palestinian Red Crescent:

•Our teams, with coordination and escort from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), successfully entered the Tel al-Sultan area in Rafah after five days of coordination attempts. The goal was to determine the fate of nine missing PRCS paramedics who had been besieged and targeted by Israeli occupation forces.
•The team faced major difficulties searching for signs of the martyrs due to the extensive destruction in the area and the erasure of its landmarks. They managed to retrieve one body belonging to the Civil Defense team.
•Due to the onset of darkness, the search operations could not continue and the team had to withdraw. Another attempt will be made tomorrow to re-enter the area, which has been under Israeli military incursion for five days, with ambulance and rescue teams barred from access.

🇵🇸 The Palestinian Resistance Factions:

“After the resounding failure of all zionist enemy plans and projects aimed at eliminating the Palestinian presence through displacement, starvation, and 17 months of genocidal war by the fascist occupation against our people in Gaza, a group of the occupation's lackeys insist on revealing their treachery, cowardice, and cooperation with the occupation against our people and our cause. They persistently blame the resistance while absolving the occupation, ignoring that the zionist genocide machinery operates continuously even in areas of security coordination [with the PA] and disregarding that the occupation itself views Palestinian existence—not just resistance—as the core issue.

These suspicious individuals demanding the cessation of resistance and surrender have ignored critical historical facts:

1. The suppression of the 1936 revolution by armed militias affiliated with certain families resulted in the Nakba of 1948.

2. Halting local resistance in 1949 and leaving the conflict to Arab states led to the occupation of Palestine.

3. The withdrawal of the PLO from Lebanon in 1982 resulted in the Sabra and Shatila massacre.

4. The Palestinan Authority's arrest of comrade Ahmad Saadat and his heroic companions who killed the criminal Rehavam Ze'evi, in exchange for promises to lift the siege on leader Yasser Arafat, ultimately led to Arafat's assassination.

5. The Palestian Authority's disarmament of military wings in the West Bank resulted in the uncontrolled expansion of settlements there.

We, the Palestinian resistance factions, in this sensitive phase of our cause and people’s history, affirm:

1. Resistance is a legitimate right of our people, through all means, primarily armed struggle, a right affirmed by all international charters and laws.

2. The zionist occupation is the sole basis and cause of all harm and suffering inflicted upon our people and will bear full responsibility and pay dearly for its crimes.

3. Our Palestinian families have always been, and will continue to be, a safeguard against all attempts by the occupation to create local collaborating entities.

4. Those behind the suspicious movement caused the occupation to retract its negotiating position in the final hours, counting on these collaborators to stab the resistance in the back. Thus, these suspicious individuals share responsibility with the occupation for the bloodshed of our people and will be dealt with accordingly.

Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs, speedy recovery to our pure wounded, freedom to our brave prisoners, and shame and disgrace to the cowardly, shameful collaborators with the occupation and its lackeys.”
