DRAKE BELL CLAIMS NICKELODEON’S BRIAN PECK SEXUALLY ABUSED HIM AS A CHILD IN NEW DOC — IS DAN SCHNEIDER NEXT?
Former Nickelodeon child actor Drake Bell from Drake & Josh claims dialogue coach and actor Brian Peck sexually abused him when he was 15-years-old on the upcoming docuseries Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV.
In August of 2003, Peck was arrested and charged with nearly a dozen counts related to allegations that he sexually abused an unnamed minor. Peck pleaded no contest to performing a lewd act with a 14 or 15-year-old and to oral copulation with a minor under 16.
Bell is now revealing that he was the anonymous minor in that case, according to Business Insider.
There’s been rumors and allegations, made anonymously by people claiming to be insiders and/or victims, that Dan Schneider, who created and/or produced many of Nickelodeon’s hit shows, is also a child sex predator and allegedly the worst!
It’s no secret that Schneider had a creepy foot fetish that he showcased on his shows and social media accounts. (Side note: A lot of his old creepy social media posts are conveniently no longer available.) There’s photos of him appearing to touch children inappropriately. Schneider allegedly threw pool parties with children. Child actors were blatantly sexualized on his shows. Also, pedophile codes and/or symbolism have popped up in his work and on social media. For example, on the show All That there was a character named Pizza Face who wore a mask of a slice of pizza.
In 2018, Nickelodeon parted ways with Schneider. Deadline reported then that the decision was years in the making do to “multiple complaints of abusive behavior” by members of Schneider’s staff, and “well-documented temper issues.” Also, that Schneider worked “under a cloud of suspicion” because of relationships with young stars on his shows, and noted how he shared photos of actresses’ toes on social media.
The New York Times reported in 2021 that a review of Schneider by Nickelodeon’s parent company, ViacomCBS, confirmed there was never any sexual misconduct. However, the ViacomCBS investigation did find a pattern of verbal abuse. It also should be pointed out that there’s been rumors of massive payouts to alleged victims of Schneider.
Quiet On Set’s first episode — premiering on March 17 on Max — dives into accusations against Schneider. Will the series expose the true monster Schneider allegedly was or go soft on him? Time will tell.
