The authors of this opinion piece are the editor-in-chief of the Columbia Law Review and the former editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal who now inflicts himself on society as an investment banker in Chicago.
Neither have any power or ability to make the Congress do anything they are advocating here.
This entire narrative is predicated on the "January 6th was an iNsUrReCsHuN led and organized by Donald J. Trump!" making some kind of amazing comeback before January 6th, 2025.
Which is not going to happen.
Too many people at this point know the truth about the FEDsurrection on J6, and the January 6 Committee led by Liz Cheney has been so completely exposed nobody is going to be able to mount any kind of effective charge to block the EC count.
Harris' role on January 6 has been established by LAW to be **purely ceremonial**, and thanks to Mike Pence, she can't do anything other than count the votes.

Trump endorsing Johnson is “art of the deal” level practicality.
We could never have held up McCarthy two years ago for concessions if a Trump certification hung in the balance. Now, it does.
We were able to hold up McCarthy because Republican voters weren’t all that eager to see us getting back to being Biden’s bitch (which Kevin ultimately did anyway).
The resistance to @SpeakerJohnson is now futile.
Let’s work to make him the best version of himself (which was more like the 2023 vintage of Mike).
