JUST IN: Israeli PM Netanyahu while meeting with U.S President Trump:We also talked about the situation in Syria. We had neighborly relations with Turkey and this has deteriorated.
We do not want Syria to be used as a base for attacking Israel by anyone, including Turkey. Turkey is a country that has great relations with the United States. The President (Trump) has relations with the President of Turkey (Erdogan). We talked about various ways to avoid this conflict. I think we could not find a better mediator for this purpose than the President of the United States.
