De berichtgeving in de media over de migranten die in Macedonia proberen de grens over te steken verhult de mensenrechtensituatie aldaar. Mike Rivero (whatreallyhappened.com) hierover:
I watched some clips of what what going on in Macedonia on Al-Jazeera television on Saturday.
Most of these people are war-displaced Syrians, desperately trying to get into Europe to achieve some kind of refugee status.
The Macedonian police were beating men with clubs, and throwing flash-bang grenades at the feet of mothers with toddlers in their arms.
The US government, redoubling its efforts to oust Bashir Al-Assad, is specifically responsible for this massive human tidal wave of misery, but will, of course, do absolutely nothing to help these people.
They are, to this government, simply "collateral damage",because they did not have the collective good taste to die outright in their country of origin.
Just looking at the faces of those parents, kids and toddlers, with all the trauma they have had to endure, nearly made me cry, and I think it would have done the same for all decent people of conscience.
This is a pogrom against people of the Middle East and Africa, because they have the nerve to be living on resources - or near potential pipeline routes - the US government wants for itself, and to insure that payments for those resources are only doe with US dollars.
Ook ik heb die beelden gezien en ben het volledig met Rivero eens.
