A source in the Islamic Resistance in Iraq revealed to Al-Akhbar that Iran has invited some leaders of resistance factions in Iraq and the region to come to Tehran following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh for a meeting to discuss the resistance and the appropriate military response to "israel" in the coming days.
The source told Al-Akhbar that several first and second-tier leaders of the factions traveled to Iran a few days ago, some of which were already in Iran.
The source stated: "There are strict recommendations from the factions to exercise caution, especially for the fighters stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border, along with monitoring the Iraqi sky for drones that might be sent by 'israel' or the Americans."
The source also reported "coordination between joint operations and the Popular Mobilization Forces to confront any movement or infiltration within Iraqi territory." They added: "There is a clear readiness among the factions to carry out military operations against the occupation, and it is not ruled out that the response against 'israel' might come from Iraq or Syria."
Firas Al-Yasser, Al-Nujaba movement political bureau member, agreed with the source's statements, affirming that "the Axis leaders are determined to respond and study it decisively and firmly, so the response will be multifaceted."
Al-Yasser disclosed to Al-Akhbar that "the Axis has formed a joint operations room regarding the response, and there are ongoing meetings in this regard, and the response is not limited to the geography of 'israel' but also includes American bases and their spread."
