“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We reject the lies and blatant bias towards the occupation contained in the Human Rights Watch report, which lacks professionalism and credibility, and demand its retraction and an apology.
After 285 days of continuous zionist crimes against our Palestinian people in Gaza, unparalleled in modern history, and after the Zionist entity has been marked by the international community and courts as committing terrorism and genocide, the Human Rights Watch report echoes the lies initially propagated by the zionist occupation army and its media apparatus to justify its crimes against our people and secure international support, only to retract them after their exposure and falsification.
The Human Rights Watch report has adopted the entire "israeli" narrative, abandoning the method of scientific research and neutral legal stance, becoming akin to an "israeli" propaganda document.
Regarding what was mentioned in this report, we affirm the following:
1. The report begins with a dramatic and emotional account of an "israeli" person burned in the events of October 7 and ends with a woman psychologically affected by the events, ignoring the killing, destruction, starvation, and unimaginable suffering inflicted on our people in Gaza, perpetuating the idea of racial discrimination among humans. The number of martyrs and injured has exceeded 120,000 to date, with complete destruction of hospitals, universities, schools, and infrastructure, while the zionist machine of oppression continues its crimes with full American and Western support, yet the report does not find this worth mentioning.
2. The Human Rights Watch report insists on considering October 7 as the start of the story, ignoring what preceded it and all the wars, killings, torture, and siege our people endured. It is surprising that a human rights organization falls into this mistake. Our people, suffering from the occupation that is the source of all evils, have the right to resist by all means, and the occupying aggressor does not have the right to self-defense, as stipulated by divine laws and international agreements.
3. The report describes (according to its claim) the crimes committed by Palestinian factions on October 7, but deliberately ignores the crimes committed by the Nazi occupation army on the same day against our people in Gaza and even against "israeli" civilians, who were bombed alongside Palestinian fighters with planes and tank shells according to "israeli" reports, including the bombing of the music festival by "israeli" planes and tanks, burning thousands of cars with means and weapons not possessed by the Palestinian resistance.
4. The report's authors show their inhuman bias when discussing "israeli" prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance, repeatedly emphasizing the need for their immediate release and calling on countries with ties to Hamas and Palestinian factions such as Qatar, Turkey, and Iran to pressure the Palestinian resistance for their release. However, they do not call for the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners, including men, women, and children, who are tortured, killed, starved, and humiliated in occupation prisons. Instead, the report justifies the occupation by referring to them as "those detained by 'israel' on suspicion of involvement in the October 7 attacks"!

5. The report claims that Palestinian fighters tortured and mistreated the individuals they captured, including those taken hostage. Anyone who saw the "israeli" captives released by the Palestinian resistance and observed their treatment or heard their statements to the media would recognize the falsehoods in the report. Conversely, the report mentions nothing about the conditions of Palestinian prisoners held by the fascist entity or their tragic situation upon release.
6. The greatest lies in the report concern what it calls "rape and sexual violence," without providing any credible evidence for these false accusations. In fact, the report itself admits: "Human Rights Watch could not gather verifiable information through interviews with rape victims or witnesses during the October 7 attack" and adds: "Human Rights Watch requested information on sexual violence and gender-based violence from the 'israeli' government but was denied access," indicating the report's insistence on condemning the resistance forces with "sexual assault" accusations without evidence, according to its own admission.
We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, affirm our commitment to a value system derived from our religion and respect international humanitarian law, as our people have paid and continue to pay a high price for the violation and degradation of international law by the occupation government and its supporters.
We do not claim infallibility for ourselves or all our people's forces, and we are always ready to review any wrongful behavior - if found - and hold accountable those who deviate from our values, and we will do so when the battle ends, but we will not accept lies targeting our people and their resistance.
Our people and their resistance forces insist on their right to resist to liberate our Palestinian land and live freely and with dignity on it. Human Rights Watch bears full responsibility for this report that justifies the occupation's crimes, allows their continuation, and damages its reputation as well as our people's resistance forces, thus we call on them to retract it and apologize.
