Israeli occupation forces arrested Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the 85 year old former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, after he eulogized slain Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a sermon at the Al-Aqsa mosque.
The Times of Israel reports that he said “the residents of Jerusalem are praying to God to have mercy on the martyr. We are asking for him to receive compassion and paradise.”

Israel can never defeat Hamas because it is, first and foremost, a resistance movement. They could kill Sinwar, Deif, and Haniyeh, and the next generation of orphaned boys turned to men would replace them. As long as occupation exists, so too will resistance. Images like this are Hamas’s best recruiting tool. Israel creates the most effective pro-Hamas propaganda.
