️A few days ago, Netanyahu referred to an article in the German newspaper *Bild*, which claimed a document written by Yahya Sinwar had been found in Gaza. The document allegedly discussed the serious consideration of smuggling prisoners to Sinai, and from there to Yemen or Iran, as well as Sinwar’s request to exacerbate internal Israeli divisions using specific methods.The surprise came when the Israeli army discredited the newspaper, stating that Sinwar did not write the document. The army is now investigating the alleged leak, which seems to benefit certain political parties opposed to a potential prisoner exchange deal and aimed at suppressing peaceful protests. Netanyahu and his allies are suspected to be behind this claim.
The army exposed these lies because it supports the exchange deal; otherwise, it would have remained silent. Thousands of false reports circulate daily in Hebrew media and among its allies, serving the army’s interests by deepening Arab divisions, justifying attacks, setting traps for adversaries, and attempting to gather intelligence.
