🚨BREAKING: Government Media Office:

We sound the alarm bells: the Palestinian people have reached a catastrophic stage of hunger and escalating suffering. We call on the World Food Programme (WFP) to fulfill its responsibilities and distribute flour to our people to end the current food crisis and prevent the disaster of overcrowding at bakery doors.

For 420 days, the "israeli" occupation army has continued its policy of starvation against the Palestinian people, especially targeting children and women, by closing all crossings and access points to and from the Gaza Strip.

Amid the humanitarian disaster and the severe crisis our people are enduring, we are shocked by the utter failure of international organizations and institutions operating in Gaza, a matter we will address in detail in the coming days. We have become convinced that these entities align with the "israeli" occupation’s oppressive policies targeting civilians and vulnerable groups within the Palestinian population in Gaza, particularly children, women, and patients.

In this context, the World Food Programme (WFP) has refused to distribute the large quantities of flour stored in its warehouses to displaced individuals and Palestinian families in Gaza. This refusal appears to deliberately perpetuate the current food crisis, clearly aligning with the policies of the Israeli occupation.

Tragically, we have received news of three deaths and previously learned of other fatalities among those waiting at bakery doors for a loaf of bread to feed their families. These deaths were caused by large crowds of citizens driven to desperation by advanced stages of hunger, fulfilling the warnings we have issued repeatedly.

In light of this humanitarian catastrophe and the systematic starvation policy, we emphasize the following:

1. We condemn the compounded crimes committed by the "israeli" occupation army against the Palestinian people, foremost among them the systematic starvation of vulnerable groups, particularly children, women, and civilians. We call on all nations to condemn these crimes, classified under international law as crimes against humanity.

2. We demand that the World Food Programme (WFP) take immediate responsibility for the field disasters resulting from its questionable policies in managing operations in Gaza. We call for the immediate and urgent distribution of flour to the Palestinian people in Gaza to end the food crisis and prevent further tragedies at bakery doors. We also demand that WFP assume its administrative, legal, and moral responsibilities toward the families of the martyrs who lost their lives in recent days due to overcrowding and compensate these bereaved families, as their deaths result from WFP's failed policies.

3. We warn all international institutions and organizations against aligning with the policies of the "israeli" occupation by deliberately managing systematic starvation or contributing to tightening the blockade or undermining the work of various institutions and organizations. The Palestinian people will not accept this under any circumstances.

4. We call on Arab and Islamic nations to take a clear stand regarding the plight of the Palestinian people under "israeli" occupation and against collaborators exacerbating the humanitarian crisis to catastrophic levels in Gaza.

5. We urge the international community, UN bodies, and global organizations to shoulder their historical, moral, administrative, and legal responsibilities and work to stop the genocide carried out by the "israeli" occupation against the Palestinian people, which has so far claimed over 160,000 victims, including martyrs, missing persons, wounded, and detainees.

6. We sound the alarm to the entire world: the Palestinian people have reached an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. With no solutions in sight, we are approaching a catastrophe more imminent than ever before.
