The Israeli army claimed that it had targeted a cell belonging to the Palestinian resistance that was preparing to carry out an operation in the town of Tammun in the northern West Bank. Israeli forces then approached the area on the ground and prevented ambulances from reaching the site.

Later, the identities of the three martyrs began to emerge, revealing that two of them were children, aged 8 and 10, who were with their relative.

Their names are Hamza Ammar Ahmad Bisharat (10 years old) and Rida Ali Bisharat (8 years old), alongside Adam Bisharat.

Following this revelation, the army changed its narrative from claiming to have carried out a targeted assassination of a cell to announcing an investigation into the incident.
