️Press Statement Issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas:The occupation prevents fuel from reaching hospitals and attempts to deceive the international community by claiming to provide aid, while continuing its open war on the healthcare system.
•The occupation deliberately worsens the state of the healthcare system as part of its plan to destroy Gaza’s health sector entirely.
•The occupation continues to restrict the delivery of fuel to hospitals, allowing only extremely limited quantities that are insufficient for even a few hours. It attempts to mislead the international community by portraying itself as facilitating aid, while simultaneously waging an open war against hospitals and medical centers by bombing and destroying them, and preventing the entry of fuel and essential medical supplies needed to keep them operational.
•The criminal Zionist occupation is intentionally exacerbating the health crisis in Gaza, keeping hospitals in a state of constant emergency as part of its broader plan to dismantle the health sector in Gaza. This occurs with complete disregard for the lives of thousands of patients and injured individuals who suffer as a result of the occupation’s tightening blockade on medical facilities.
We renew our call to the United Nations and its specialized agencies, particularly the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to take immediate action and save Gaza’s healthcare system from the risk of complete collapse under the inhumane restrictions imposed by the occupation forces. This includes meeting the urgent needs of hospitals and deploying specialized medical teams to treat the injured and wounded.
