With all the pride, dignity, and honor befitting this moment, and after completing all necessary procedures, addressing all security precautions imposed by the realities of battle and the battlefield, conducting the required verification, and taking all relevant measures, the Al-Qassam Brigades announce to our great people, our nation, and all supporters of freedom and resistance worldwide the martyrdom of a group of senior mujahideen and heroic leaders from the General Military Council of the Al-Qassam Brigades:
•The great martyr of the nation, Commander Mohammed Deif (Abu Khaled), Chief of Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades.
•The great martyr, Commander Marwan Issa (Abu Al-Bara), Deputy Chief of Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades.
•The mujahid martyr, Commander Ghazi Abu Tamaa (Abu Mousa), Head of the Weapons and Combat Services Division.
•The heroic mujahid martyr, Commander Raed Thabet (Abu Mohammed), Head of the Manpower Division.
•The heroic mujahid martyr, Commander Rafi Salama (Abu Mohammed), Commander of the Khan Younis Brigade.
•Ahmed Al-Ghandour (Abu Anas), Commander of the Northern Brigade.
•Ayman Nofal (Abu Ahmed), Commander of the Central Brigade.
Al- Qassam Brigades system did not experience a leadership vacuum even for a single moment during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle.
After the martyrdom of the leaders, our fighters became more and more valiant, and their motivation to fight increased even more. We fight for a belief, and a leader is followed by a thousand leaders.
The martyred leaders ascended during the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, advancing and not retreating, and the martyrdom of our great leaders did not and will not weaken the resolve of our battalions and our resistance.

Abu Obaida announced the martyrdom of a group of its military council leaders in Gaza during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood:
1- Chief of Staff of Al-Qassam Brigades Mohammed Deif
2- Deputy Chief of Staff of Al-Qassam Brigades Marwan Issa
3- Ghazi Tama'a (Commander of the Weapons Section)
4- Raed Thabet (Commander of the Human Resources Section)
5- Rafeh Salama (Commander of the Khan Younis Brigade)
Along with two other commanders previously announced during the battle:
6- Ayman Nofal (Commander of the Central Brigade)
7- Ahmed Al-Ghandour (Commander of the Northern Brigade)
