The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has shown flexibility and positivity with the efforts of mediators throughout all previous rounds of indirect negotiations, culminating in the announcement of approval of the mediators' proposal on the 6th of May.
However, the occupation used these negotiations as a cover to continue its aggression and massacres against our Palestinian people. It responded to our positive stance by invading the city of Rafah and occupying the crossing, and presented remarks leading to the obstruction of the mediators' efforts.
The Hamas movement and the Palestinian factions will not accept being part of this policy of continuing negotiations amidst aggression, killing, siege, starvation, and genocide against our people.
We have informed the mediators today of our clear position that if the occupation stops its war and aggression against our people in Gaza, we are ready to reach a comprehensive agreement that includes a full exchange deal.
