Very good info SerialBrain2 but I still don't understand how giving the Golan Heights to Israel helps bring peace in the Middle East. Thousands of Syrians have been displaced by this and thousands of Palestinians are right now being kicked out of their homes in Jerusalem because of these new declarations by our President. Haven't the people in the Middle East, many of them Christians, suffer enough? Please explain how you think giving the Golan Heights to Israel is the right thing to do. I am having difficulties defending this action and the Jerusalem declaration to Palestinian friends. We forget that there are many Chrisitan Palestinians. Hard to explain that this is all for the benefit of a larger peace plan where everyone will have equal rights under one God on that land.

By giving sovereignty over these territories, you are cutting their supply lines.
