I really am beginning to wonder now if Trump wanted someone other than McCarthy all along.

There would be absolutely no benefit whatsoever to publically burning his bridge to McCarthy and all of McCarthy's allies in congress when he can just let the house bring out the long knives for him while he keeps his hands clean and stays on good terms with the bulk of the house members.

Again, I'm probably reading too much 4D chess into this, but it is Trump after all. The guy is kind of a genius when it comes to this stuff.

I wonder, if this drags on long enough, and if we start seeing even more defectors to Jordan tomorrow, will we eventually see Democrats start to shift their votes to McCarthy in order to end run Jordan, as from their perspective McCarthy would be the lesser of two evils?

If they wanted to do that Trump has kind of boxed them into a corner, because to do so they would have to vote for the very person Trump said he wanted to be Speaker.

I completely understand why everyone is up in arms over McCarthy due to him being a shill. However, the House isn't going to accomplish much without a majority in the Senate (they cheated) and Trump himself said we need to go further down the precipice to awaken normies. Elon Musk is going to continue to drop spicy information where the House can investigate. Elon told the sheep to vote R for House cause he knew they would want to investigate all the info he would drop.
What I'm trying to say is that what matters is awakening. The battle over Speaker of the House isn't as important as people think. All we need are the investigations run by a patriot like Jim Jordan and we will watch the red pill clips flow in.
