BREAKING: RUSSIA ACCIDENTALLY BOMBS NATO COUNTRY
A Shahed drone, launched at the Ukrainian port city of Izmail, allegedly veered off course and crashed into Romania, detonating close to the village of Plauru.
The resulting explosion sent towering flames and thick smoke hundreds of meters into the air.
Romania quickly deployed F-16 fighter jets to address the airspace breach.
Authorities are now examining the event:
“The Ministry of National Defence has ordered measures to conduct investigations in the field, in the vicinity of Plauru, to search for possible objects that have fallen on the national territory.”
