Not a single person can explain why we need to protect Israel with even a modicum of logic behind their answer. The most widely used reason is that Israel provides us with important intelligence. The caveat here is that intel is about countries that hate us because we support Israel. We can just skip the middleman here entirely.
Israel is not the United States despite what politicians supported by Israeli lobbyist groups tell you. We are a nation on the verge of a breakdown already funding two proxy wars. If you take all bias away, there is absolutely no reason we should be bankrolling them and possibly getting involved in a regional or world war there.
Fight your own battles, leave us alone. We're broke and we aren't sacrificing Americans for you.
