Protest songs, very populair in the 60th, they seem to see a revival over the last years with protests all over the world about the global dictatorship and the covid hoax and forced vaccination measurements
I posed the question at our zydecajun mewe channel; Are in fact the songs the slaves use to sing working the land in America be the first protest songs ever made ? To give you an idea, Lynn August recorded 4 so called “jure” songs on one of his albums
— song 1
Former rubboard player with Corey Ledet zydeco band who I’ve seen playing in Germany 2009, France and the Netherlands in 2010 were he visited our house - JB Adams, for me also know and respected for his interaction with the crowd - the crowd control man, I did ask him the same question by mail this week: “ I'll be 66 yrs old. As a kid growing up in the south (Houston Texas) wasn't always easy. My parents endured more racial issues than I. But, a lot of those Songs of Protest were sung by us kids in school and church. The freedoms we heard about, and read about, wasn't equal to Us. At my age now, since the George Floyd protest. I'm hearing songs of Protest that I've lived through as a child.
— Another Jure from Lynn August —
JB Adams again “Since the enslavement of Africans, there have been "Protest" songs, or songs of "Freedom". Many of the songs were a form of communication from slave to slave to plan an escape to Freedom. Since slaves were not allowed to congregate. So through Song, Music was our voice. Even to this day, Songs of Protest are still sung”.
JB Adams the crowd control man with Corey Ledet’s zydeco band

Why I did tell you all this — the moral of this story, never try to silence activism — ore the truth — It will never work out the way you want it !!
